If you know the end of a story, does it change how you read the beginning? Quentin Tarantino has an amazing way to begin his movies with the final scene and then take you back and fill in the story from various participants perspectives. It can be quite disorienting at times, but you know from the start where you are going. As we begin our journey in Genesis, we do so already knowing the end. We know how the story ends with Jesus, so it is going to change our perspective on the journey. This week we begin that journey at the Beginning, and as we do so we gain insight into how, the Beginning has an impact on each one of our days still today. It isn’t just history; it is the Beginning.
