The scene before you is flour everywhere. There in the center of the kitchen is your child covered in flour. The counters, the floor, the stove, and somehow even every drawer is coated in flour. What is your response? The mess is horrendous. The child knew it was wrong. Do your emotions allow you to respond in grace or condemnation? God walks into the Garden, following the fall. Guilt and shame lead to fearing that which they used to love. His reaction isn’t what we’d expect. Even in our darkest fallen moments, he seeks us out with his word of grace and mercy.
