Jacob fears Esau’s wrath, but instead finds Esau running to embrace him. This reconciliation is a picture of the Gospel — God runs to us in grace and brings peace where sin once created division. Because Christ has made peace through His cross, we are free to pursue peace with others, trusting that God has gone ahead of us to heal what sin has broken.
