How do you know if someone is the real deal? Many can talk a great game, but can they do what they say? Once talked to a guy whose job interview was producing a 30 second video clip in front of the interviewers. Apparently, they were tired of video editors saying they could do the work, but not actually able to produce the quality. The Gospel writer Luke, takes a similar approach to Jesus. Many claimed they were son’s of deities. Many claimed they were the promised Messiah, but Jesus not only says it, he backs it up. He displays his power and authority, over demons, sickness, and sin. This week we see Jesus display his power and authority, that he still uses today for our benefit.
