Sometimes its hard to grasp concepts from a title. This week “Sabbath” sounds a lot like “sun bath” or maybe it’s a middle eastern dish. If you didn’t grow up going to church and haven’t studied the Old Testament, or don’t have any Jewish friends it is a foreign concept. Yet, it was something that God brought about from creation as a way to bless, and redirect his people. It’s rest in God. It is rest in his Word and time with him. It is pausing all labors, and enjoying just being with God. This weekend Jesus teaches more about the Sabbath and where we can find this rest and peace, that surpasses a spring break trip.
