A love story. A story of God’s providence and protection. A story of overcoming all odds. A story of our Extraordinary God working through ordinary means for the extraordinary. All of these could fit, but it is ultimately a redemption story, of God redeeming and restoring Ruth, and Naomi. In chapter 3 that message comes through, with Ruth proposing to Boaz that he should propose. Lots of room for sinful motives, but throughout we see the LORD guiding and protecting to provide rescue not only for Naomi and Ruth, but for us.
