John was one of the first to get it. He understood the resurrection the moment he knelt and looked into the tomb. The resurrection changed this 20 something young man to recognize that despite the look on Good Friday, Easter means he and we can trust in the Good Shepherd. We can trust, because the Good Shepherd has done exactly what he said he would do. John professing this trust, gives us a glimpse of Heaven that will be ours, because of what the Good Shepherd has done for us.
