We all know the skeptic. The one who feels they have all the right answers, or is unsure if anyone can know if there really is certainty. Jesus knows our hearts. He knows the skeptic within, and he even called a skeptic as one of his first disciples. One who was looking for hope but Jesus didn’t fit his idea of a Savior. In Bartholomew (aka Nathanael) we see our own expectations too often misunderstood and misplaced, until Jesus meets them and us.
