Hopefully over time we’ll sit down and chat and I'll hear your story and then share my own story. In the meantime, here’s a brief summary to give you a little background.

About Me…

My joy and passion is to help train and equip others to be Jesus in the community and to share Jesus with those around them. So I’m best described as one who is passionate about following Jesus and figuring out how to help others see Jesus and experience Him through His Word, unique worship, and community.

How did I end up at Prince of Peace?

God. I know this answer seems simple, but I was assigned out of the Seminary to St. Marcus, in Milwaukee to be their millennial outreach pastor. After six years of ministry in the inner-city of Milwaukee, and extensive training in multiplying missionaries, I was called to St. Andrew in Middleton, WI in August of 2015 to be their Pastor for Service & Outreach, AKA Resident Missionary. My heart has always been missions and outreach, so when Prince of Peace shared the vision of reaching one of the fastest growing communities in the country, it was hard to say no.

My Family

I married my best friend from college, Katie (nee Petermann), and we’ve been blessed with three children, Micah, Ellen and Zoe.

My training includes…

  • Martin Luther College, BA in Classical Languages
  • Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary, Masters of Divinity
  • Pastoral Leadership Institute, Missional Leader
  • University of Indiana School of Philanthropy – Lilly Foundation, Executive Certificate in Religious Fundraising

I’m truly delighted and blessed to be doing what I LOVE; that is planning Early Childhood programs that teach kids in creative ways, strengthen families, and share the love of Jesus in my community.

A few things you should know about me:

I moved to Texas while in high school and quickly fell in love with the state and one of its residents who is now my husband. I would be happy to call Texas “home” the rest of my life.

I am a busy mother of three energetic, imaginative children. When I look at them I’m impressed at the creativity of our Creator. Each one is a unique, precious gift to me.

Most of my hobbies are on hold while my children grow, but when I can I enjoy both cooking and eating Texas cuisine. My favorite cookbook is The Homesick Texan's Family Table by Lisa Fain.

My favorite Bible Passage is Psalm 13:5-6: “But I trust in your unfailing love; my heart rejoices in your salvation. I will sing the Lord’s praise, for he has been good to me.”

I have always had a passion for teaching little ones. I love interacting with them in fun and silly ways. That’s what makes my job seem more like play and less like work!

A few things you should know about me:

I love to sing, read, visit aquariums, and sip tea of every sort. My favorite book series is The No. 1 Ladies’ Detective Agency by Alexander McCall Smith.

I met my husband while teaching on a mission trip in St. Lucia. We have three sweet and active girls. Together, we love family bike rides and making homemade ice cream.

I am inspired by God’s word in 1:Peter 3:18 “Grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen.”

My Prince of Peace story began in early 2015 when I attended my first Mornings with Mommy session with my daughter. A year later we were enrolled in Prince of Peace’s first Power Hour class and Power for Parenting. My children were baptized in this church and my husband, our two children, and I became members shortly after.

The programs that Prince of Peace offers completely changed the direction of my life for me and my family! I am a product of the way our Lord uses these programs to bring families closer to Him through His Word. I consider it an honor that He uses me to bless others the same way He blessed my family, week after week in these Early Childhood classes.

I love having the opportunity to meet so many wonderful families in our community. I find true joy in sharing the gospel, serving those around me, and I am passionate about teaching children.

I’ve wanted to work with kids since I was little playing “school” with my friends. I grew up and finally did become a teacher and then a Mother’s Day Out/Preschool Director. For the last 17 years I’ve had the blessing of homeschooling my own kids.

It is such a privilege to be Youth and Young Adults Program Director at Prince of Peace. It has been such a blessing for me to get to know each child and watch them grow in the grace and knowledge of their Savior, Jesus.

I’ve lived in Texas since 1984 and met my husband here through a mutual friend. We’ve been married 25 wonderful years. We have two sons who have blessed us in so many ways.

My favorite Bible verse is Matthew 28:20 “And I am with you always.”

Coleen Reicherts

As the administrative assistant at Prince of Peace, I get to share my love for Jesus by keeping everybody organized! I love every minute of it!

I moved from Missouri to Texas in 1991 after college to begin a career as an automotive technician!  That wasn’t God’s plan for me. Shortly after moving here, I met a wonderful man from Iowa who in now my husband of 23 years.

I have two amazing daughters. Each one is a unique and precious gift to me. I am truly blessed!

My favorite Bible Passage is Philippians 4:13.I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” KJV
