Pastor Brad Taylor

Each day is a day the Lord has made, and I am thankful to be able to serve every day as pastor of Prince of Peace. It's my desire to share with people in Flower Mound, Lewisville, and beyond the amazing peace that we find in Jesus Christ our Savior.

I am blessed to have my wife Molly, who enriches my ministry and life. Together we have been blessed with four children.

Prior to coming to Prince of Peace, I served as pastor for five years at Mountain View Lutheran Church in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. I also gained experience serving as a vicar - a pastoral intern - at Grace Lutheran Church in Lake Cypress Springs, Texas in 2005-06.

I graduated from Martin Luther College (New Ulm, Minnesota) in 2003 and from Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary (Mequon, Wisconsin) in 2007. I have been serving at Prince of Peace since 2012 and have fallen in love with our community and living in Texas.

I look forward to meeting you and getting to know your story.

I am blessed beyond measure to be a member at Prince of Peace and use my teaching degree here!

I first knew I wanted to be a teacher when I went on a high school mission trip to Antigua. Seeing the precious little faces of the 3 and 4 years olds light up when I told them about Jesus sold me on the full-time teaching ministry!

My family is near and dear to me. When I’m not teaching, I spend the rest of my time keeping the wheels on the wagon at home (I have 4 kiddos so this is no small task)!

My husband is the pastor here at Prince of Peace. His ministry has played a huge part in shaping our family. We moved to Flower Mound in 2012 and are excited to be part of our North Texas community.

A little known fact about me: Prior to moving to Texas I lived in Canada where hockey became my hobby. I joined Babes on Blades, a hockey team for beginner moms, and learned how to skate and strap on hockey gear from head to toe!

These words from the Bible bring me comfort and hope: “Surely God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid. The Lord, the Lord himself, is my strength and my defense; he has become my salvation.” Isaiah 12:2

I’m truly delighted and blessed to be doing what I LOVE; that is planning Early Childhood programs that teach kids in creative ways, strengthen families, and share the love of Jesus in my community.

A few things you should know about me:

I moved to Texas while in high school and quickly fell in love with the state and one of its residents who is now my husband. I would be happy to call Texas “home” the rest of my life.

I am a busy mother of three energetic, imaginative children. When I look at them I’m impressed at the creativity of our Creator. Each one is a unique, precious gift to me.

Most of my hobbies are on hold while my children grow, but when I can I enjoy both cooking and eating Texas cuisine. My favorite cookbook is The Homesick Texan's Family Table by Lisa Fain.

My favorite Bible Passage is Psalm 13:5-6: “But I trust in your unfailing love; my heart rejoices in your salvation. I will sing the Lord’s praise, for he has been good to me.”

I have always had a passion for teaching little ones. I love interacting with them in fun and silly ways. That’s what makes my job seem more like play and less like work!

A few things you should know about me:

I love to sing, read, visit aquariums, and sip tea of every sort. My favorite book series is The No. 1 Ladies’ Detective Agency by Alexander McCall Smith.

I met my husband while teaching on a mission trip in St. Lucia. We have three sweet and active girls. Together, we love family bike rides and making homemade ice cream.

I am inspired by God’s word in 1:Peter 3:18 “Grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen.”

My Prince of Peace story began in early 2015 when I attended my first Mornings with Mommy session with my daughter. A year later we were enrolled in Prince of Peace’s first Power Hour class and Power for Parenting. My children were baptized in this church and my husband, our two children, and I became members shortly after.

The programs that Prince of Peace offers completely changed the direction of my life for me and my family! I am a product of the way our Lord uses these programs to bring families closer to Him through His Word. I consider it an honor that He uses me to bless others the same way He blessed my family, week after week in these Early Childhood classes.

I love having the opportunity to meet so many wonderful families in our community. I find true joy in sharing the gospel, serving those around me, and I am passionate about teaching children.

I’ve wanted to work with kids since I was little playing “school” with my friends. I grew up and finally did become a teacher and then a Mother’s Day Out/Preschool Director. For the last 17 years I’ve had the blessing of homeschooling my own kids.

It is such a privilege to be Youth and Young Adults Program Director at Prince of Peace. It has been such a blessing for me to get to know each child and watch them grow in the grace and knowledge of their Savior, Jesus.

I’ve lived in Texas since 1984 and met my husband here through a mutual friend. We’ve been married 25 wonderful years. We have two sons who have blessed us in so many ways.

My favorite Bible verse is Matthew 28:20 “And I am with you always.”

As the administrative assistant at Prince of Peace, I get to share my love for Jesus by keeping everybody organized! I love every minute of it!

I moved from Missouri to Texas in 1991 after college to begin a career as an automotive technician!  That wasn’t God’s plan for me. Shortly after moving here, I met a wonderful man from Iowa who in now my husband of 23 years.

I have two amazing daughters. Each one is a unique and precious gift to me. I am truly blessed!

My favorite Bible Passage is Philippians 4:13.I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” KJV
